Casa del Guardia

Halfway up the hill to Marsiliana lies the cottage Casa del Guardia, a recently restored cottage surrounded by olive groves with a  view onto the valley and the coastline. The house is very private with no immediate neighbours, the pergola and garden are equipped with table and chairs for al fresco meals.

Down the hill, 1 km from the house, you will find a bar for your daily capuccino, a small supermarket, a bank and post office. In the house guest will find a “guest book” with informations about the area, restaurants we recommend, shopping and local attractions.

The nearest beach is at 14 km.

Final cleaning, central heating and AC have to be balanced directly at the office

• House Rules

  • Minimum stay is one week, arrival and departure are flexible (ie not necessary from Sat to Sat, in mid and low seasons we allow arrivals and departure during the week)

  • Check in between 4pm and 7pm

  • Check out no later than 9.30 am – this is to allow for enough time for cleaning and setting the house up for you fellow travellers who will check in after you leave.

  • Silva at the office will help you with any enquirey, office hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 3 to 7.30pm office number 0564 6063050

  • Garbage: please make sure the house is empty from all garbage before you leave

  • If you stay longer than one week household linen (bed sheets and towelings) will be changed once a week (every 6 or 7 nights) if you wish to have extra changes please refer to Silva at the Office

  • Please do not waste water, do so by not leaving the taps running…this is a very dry country

  • BBQs and fires places: please refer to the office for fire wood (small extra cost) and for BBQs , please take utmost care while grilling outside, forest fires are very easy to start in the dry season (in any season in fact!!)

  • Garden and Pool: utmost care must be taken around the pool, specially with small children. If dining in the garden or by the pool please make sure all utensils (plates glasses and cutlery) is taken back to the house, our next guest will hate it to find lesser utensils than needed in the drawers …

Rates
Are per week unless otherwise indicated and include electricity, water, and weekly change of linen.

Extra charges
Wood for fireplace 25 Euro per basket.
Extra cleaning if needed at 15 Euro per hour.

Payment
50% of the rent is to be paid at the moment of booking. The remaining 50% is due 6 weeks before arrival. Payments are to be done by bank transfer.

Security deposit
Upon arrival we ask our guests to leave 200 Euro in cash or cheque, as a security deposit (no credit cards are accepted) for any eventual damage or breakage which may occur during the stay. At the end of the sojourn the sum will be given back, unless it has to be used partly or fully for any damage.

Number of beds
We cannot allow the number of persons staying in a house to be higher than the number of beds initially stated.

Cancellation by the client
the following rates will apply:

1. 10% of the total rent up to 4 months (120 days) before the date of arrival
2. 50% up to 2 months (60 days) before the date of arrival
3. 100% as from the 59^th day before arrival

Should we manage to rent the house partly or fully for the cancelled period we will of course refund the client accordingly.
